ABOUT
I’ve worked as a photographer off and on for over twenty years. I am also a writer and that ‘me’ can be found here. In recent years the emphasis has been on writing and performing, with photography largely being restricted to other writers and performers.
I am returning to personal projects this year, with an exhibition at Norwich Arts Centre in November. This will include some of my ‘city’ work, which I have sustained over the last ten years. I will making other new personal work, between now and then. I will be posting examples of that.
In the past, I’ve been published by numberous magazines and all the British broadsheet newspapers, including features in The Independent Magazine & The Telegraph Magazine. I was Arts Council England, East photographer for Year of the Artist. I also worked for the BBC and Channel 4. My work still finds its way into numerous publications and I hope to return to editorial work when time and opportunity allows.
My personal work has been exhibited widely, including at Side Gallery, NewcastleUpon Tyne; Watershed, Bristol; Firstsite, Colchester, Norwich Arts Centre; F-Stop, Bath; Imge Gallery, Bedford; Focal point, Wysing Arts, Southend; and included in several groups shows, including at: The national Portrait Gallery, The Photographers’ Gallery, Gottingen University, Gijon, Spain and Durham Museum. The greatest erection to my ego is a permanet two story high installation of lightbox images at Tyneside Discovery Museum, which has stood for over ten years now.
I am based in Norwich, England and available for commissioning for editorial or commercial work. I am also experienced in author pictures and performer show images (see Writers’ Page).
